Planning ahead? I love that. I see you planners looking at January–February 2027. Here is the truth: Airlines don’t release flight schedules until about 10–11 months out (330–355 days).
Why Expedia shows “flights” for 2027: Those are placeholder schedules, not real, ticketable flights. They are subject to major changes or removal. As a travel advisor, I can’t ticket those because I want to protect you from price hikes and cancellations.
The Strategy: We talk destinations now. We narrow down resorts. But we wait to book until flights are live so your package is solid, accurate, and secure.
Real Honeymoon. Real Chaos. A client recently faced a mechanical flight delay that caused them to miss their connection to Punta Cana. They lost a day of their trip.
The Difference: While they napped at an airport hotel, I was on the phone for hours. I rebooked their return to extend the trip, found a neighboring resort for the extra night, and handled their insurance claim. They got upgraded to a honeymoon suite.
Moral: Book online, you handle the chaos yourself. Book with me, and I handle it for you. There is no “care” button at checkout on Expedia.
