Mobile performance / A practical starting point

Your website is slow on customers' phones

The site feels fast at the office but stalls on a customer's mobile connection. The hero video loads, the booking button shifts and the menu takes another tap. A performance score alone does not tell you which problem is wasting people's time.

01 / Understand the situation

What may be getting in the way

Large images, unnecessary JavaScript, slow server responses and third-party widgets affect different stages of loading. A page can look complete while controls remain unresponsive. Reproduce representative pages and connections before choosing the fix.

02 / Start here

Concrete first steps

  1. Choose important service, contact and booking pages. Measure mobile loading and interaction, comparing available field data with controlled tests.
  2. Inspect the largest visible image, fonts and blocking scripts. Preserve useful bookings and analytics while identifying widgets that load too early.
  3. Make the first screen usable, prevent layout jumps and defer nonessential media. Retest the same pages under comparable conditions.

03 / The work

How Blaze can help

Blaze can optimize images and delivery, reduce front-end work and rebuild slow components when targeted changes are insufficient. Keep the core function in view: a faster page helps only if customers can still call, submit a request or complete a booking.

See website, search and workflow services, or tell us what is happening so we can scope the right work before quoting.

04 / Check the result

What to verify before calling it done

Record the test setup for before-and-after comparisons. Check loading and interaction, then verify forms, tracking and calendars were not broken by optimization. A permanent perfect score across every device is not a realistic promise.

Questions you may still have

Before you decide

Do we need to remove all animation?

No. Effects should be lightweight and respect reduced-motion preferences. Heavy animation delaying content or interaction is a candidate for replacement.

Why does a test differ from my phone?

Lab tests use specific devices and conditions. Visitors have different connections and page histories. Controlled tests and field data both help.

Will a faster host fix everything?

Only if server response is the main bottleneck. Oversized images and excessive browser JavaScript can remain slow on a new host.

Your next step

Tell us what needs to work better.

You do not need to diagnose it yourself. Share the situation, and we will discuss scope and next steps before work starts.
